When the Gervaises came to us earlier this year to design and build a custom home in Poulsbo, we knew the project was going to be a lot of fun. In fact, customers like the Gervaises are what make our job so fun. They had a wishlist of features in their new home and their site that would have been impossible to find in a ready-built home.
Their vision included a home that would be comfortable enough to accommodate a multigenerational family. We worked with them to create a mother-in-law suite that would create more privacy in the home. We also worked with them to create a home theater, another item on their wish list, and we used mineral wood insulation and soundproof drywall to help keep the sound contained – even while watching an action-packed blockbuster.
The Gervais family also included a loft area with a cozy gas fireplace and home gym.
Design finishes inside the home included high contrast black trim for a modern look and feel, custom tile in the master shower, and a kitchen that mixes modern and classic with black counters, a modern farmhouse sink, and dual ovens.
The entire home was designed to maximize views of their gorgeous lot from almost every room of the home.
We also worked with the Gervais family to prepare for future additions to their home. Work included site preparations for a future equestrian center that will include a barn and riding arena.
