It’s a Fancy Word for Carport
The Straubs new home starts with a beautiful Porte Cochere with exposed wood ceiling – a perfect way to welcome guests on rainy days (assuming those guests brought wine, of course).
A Room with a View
The Straubs included a wall of windows in their great room to take in the peaceful open views.
Multiple Fireplaces
The Straubs designed a mountain cabin feel with multiple stone fireplaces that give the room a cozy feel and a dramatic focal point.
Exposed Wood Ceilings
Like the Porte Cochere, the great room includes soaring exposed wood ceilings that give the home a sense of open space and warmth.
A Little Something Stashed Away
The Straubs also included built-ins to keep their new home organized. They even included a pull out shelf that can be used as a workspace or, in this case, a bar. (Great plan, Dave.)
Kitchen for Entertaining
The Straub’s new kitchen has plenty of space for entertaining with multiple workstations, lots of natural light and plenty of counter space.
The Best Feature
