During our design phase, your vision comes to life with a Design Consultant, an Architect, and a small, dedicated team working in the background to meticulously plan every detail of your custom home—from purchasing to permitting to construction. The home you’re going to build has never been built before—your happiness level on move-in day is largely tied to how smooth the process goes, the selections you make and how they tie together, and whether your home is delivered on-time and on-budget. We’ll kick-off your custom home project with our award-winning design process. It begins with a Listening Meeting where you’ll meet on your property with your Design Consultant and your Architect to share your vision for life in your new home. How do we turn your morning routine into an enjoyable ritual? How do we create an inviting and memorable feeling for anyone who walks through the door? A custom home can make your everyday life as enjoyable as is possible. We’ll help you optimize each space to maximize your budget and make your forever home, your favorite home.
Pre-Construction Services
As your design comes to life, we’ll simultaneously work to prepare your site for building. We’ll manage your survey, planning and installation of drainage and septic, well drilling, clearing, and permits. You’ll benefit from our relationships with the local trades and knowledge of the specific requirements and regulations for your property.
02 Your trusted advisor.
SELECTIONS & SPECIFICATIONS
You’ll meet weekly with your Design Consultant to select everything from windows to roofing, siding to trim, flooring to plumbing to decking. Nothing will be left unanswered; no decisions or details will be left out. Every selection has an impact, so we’ll follow a process that’s been proven to save time and keep you informed on how your selections impact your budget. With advice and insight along the way, you can put your mind at ease and have fun, rather than worrying that every choice may have unforeseen consequences.
Rigorous Quality Planning
As your selections and specification choices are made, we integrate them into your design and meet with our construction team to review every detail. This ensures that issues are uncovered on paper and fixed during planning—eliminating costly surprises and delays once construction begins.

Start with a Builder
It may seem counter-intuitive to start with the last part of the process, but as the builder, we know what it costs to build, what issues your land may face, and how to plan appropriately to avoid issues and challenges that will impact your budget and timeline.
Square Footage isn’t All That
When designing a custom home, it’s a common misnomer that you need a big house with a lot of square footage to fit everything you want. As the builder, we get to experience the final product. We’ve seen some amazing spaces come together and can offer a lot of advice during design that will get you more for your money.
