More About Us

Embracing The Natural Landscape

Taking advantage of nature’s finest, this custom Sequim home was built with the forest in mind. With a top story up in the trees, it truly feels like this northwest dwelling is a treehouse. At Estes Builders, we provided the homeowner with expert guidance to identify the best location on the lot to design a well-appointed northwest farmhouse with a stunning view. Working with the existing landscape, the client was able to enjoy a stunning view while keeping foundation and site development costs manageable for their budget. By building within a confined flat area on a steep mountainside slope to maximize the view, we were able to retain as many trees as possible to create a cozy treehouse feeling.

Farmhouse Features

As a modern farmhouse with external traditional northwest craftsman features, everything in the home was designed and tailored exclusively to the homeowner’s vision. Some of the home’s highlights include oil-rubbed bronze hardware and vessel sinks in the bathroom, built-in shelving and a custom mantle in the living room, and homeowner-chosen pendant lights over a large island in the kitchen. The beautiful bathrooms also feature acrylic surrounds, as well as built-in shelving and custom vanities and hardware.

Vaulted ceilings and a custom quarter-turn staircase make for a large, open, and airy living space with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. A deck off the living room expands the indoor/outdoor entertaining area to really make the natural beauty a highlighted feature. Our consultative services guide on design, selections, price and buildable area. With 2,200 sqft of heated and finished space and an additional 1,600 of unfinished space, clients can achieve their dream with expansion plans for the future. Our team takes care of everything from design to engineering to excavation and septic installation. Through construction and warranty, all of our homeowners can enjoy a one-stop-shop for their home design and building needs. Bespoke homes and satisfied clients like this remind us why we love to build custom.
