At Estes, we will visit your land with you and ask lots of questions. We’ll discover your wants and needs from your custom home wish list and help you build a budget. Start early for this phase – even if you don’t yet have a clear design plan or own land.
Step 2: Custom Home Process
Do you feel like the time is right to take the next step toward building your custom home? It’s time to build a budget. Estes will work with you to complete a Project Investment Study. We will take you through a detailed architectural survey to clarify your wants and needs for your home. Then, we’ll visit your site and estimate the essential costs associated with building your home on your lot. We provide a budget range for the “sticks and bricks”. And we also include costs such as clearing, septic, permits, and more to give you a “total project” estimate.
Step 3: Design Process
Plans or no plans, a builder should be involved early to help you design a creative home that you love, which works with your land, and works with your budget. During the Estes Design Phase, one of our architects will help you create your dream. While you are designing your home, we will manage the site development to prepare your property to build. Do you already have plans? No problem. We’ll review them and build a full construction set that works on your property.
Once we have the full set of plans and specs for your home, we’ll provide you with a Guaranteed Fixed Price for the cost of building it.
